I have a 190 DSG R-Line estate on order as a company car. Recently had a 150 SE Business estate for a weekend demo and it seemed pretty quiet, comfortable and a pleasant place to be.
It is only once you look at a car that you realise just how many there are on the roads - it seems to me that of late every second car is a Passat

I've got the R line Estate on order too - but it has been on order since March. Latest is "towards the end of June" - seems the R line model is slow to coming to the UK...
Standard VW lead time is 3 months, so nothing out the ordinary. Some Passat's are currently taking 2-3 extra weeks for some reason.AB said:
Wow, just messed about on the configurator - £50k it's possible to spend on a Passat!

I would question the need for that though! The 2.0 BiTDI 240PS DSG 4Motion R-Line is quick and well enough equipped with Sat Nav, Adaptive Cruise Standard and Leather; retailing at a shade over £35k.
Will be a very tempting second hand buy in a couple of years time as I can imagine it will be cheaper than a Used Golf GTD of the same age

Interested to read your thoughts on your new wheels, L500.
No date yet for my R-Line - but ordered two months after yours.
So far, so good Jingars. I've got the 190 engine, which is very comfortable, doesn't fell that quick, but when you look at the speedo, you're up to speed in good time. Space in the back is fantastic. Sat Nav (in mine at least) doesn't allow for post codes which is really annoying. Addition of the adaptive cruise control is nice also. I went for Tungsten Silver which also (IMHO) looks great in the R-Line spec.No date yet for my R-Line - but ordered two months after yours.

The Sat Nav doesn't allow you to enter a post code?!
It's like being back in 2002.
You can, you just need to know how to use it.It's like being back in 2002.
Tap 'New destination' -> tap the 'city/town' -> tap on bottom left where it says 'PSCD' or 'Pstcd' or something like that... it will then bring up a number pad (as continental postcodes are generally only numbers), tap the 'ABC' on bottom left, enter the 2 letters, tap '123' enter number, tap 'ABC' again to put the last characters....

This is further than I have got to date, so thanks for this, however I have literally just followed your instructions and I can't quite finish the postcode. The button is "Pstcd", and you can enter the first 4 characters (i.e. GU52) but it won't allow for the next digit to be entered... Am I doing it wrong!?Tap 'New destination' -> tap the 'city/town' -> tap on bottom left where it says 'PSCD' or 'Pstcd' or something like that... it will then bring up a number pad (as continental postcodes are generally only numbers), tap the 'ABC' on bottom left, enter the 2 letters, tap '123' enter number, tap 'ABC' again to put the last characters....
