Audi S4 B7 auto question.
Discussion
Morning guys and gals.
I'm in the middle of buying a 2006 S4 Avant Tiptronic and have a question regarding the tip gearbox. I know it's not always right but the S4 wiki states that the gearbox in the B6/7 S4 is rated to 300ft/lb of torque....doesn't the S4 V8 have more than this as standard?
Looking for a little bit of assurance of this as I rang up Audi and let's just say they weren't very helpful (Read: didn't give a flying wotsit).
Thanks in advance
Chris

I owned a tip tronic B7 V8 for a year and the gear box was fine although as a drivers car it is not.
whe in manual using the paddles the car will change up a gear regardless when you bring it close to the red line which annoyed the hell out of me
but otherwise the gearbox is good but the oil replacement is expensive and the new oil needs to go in the drain hole so special tool required

Are you asking did Audi fit a gearbox that wasnt rated for the power of the engine? I think the answer to that is pretty obvious.
Hold on Cupra...no need to give a snappy reply lol. Assumed maybe something had been changed and was wondering what lol. Like I said, Wiki isn't always right!
Cheers for the rest of it though
