2009 Audi tts - brake questions
Discussion
So, i think its time i replaced the disks and pads on the above car. I dont know if its equipped with brake wear sensors. They've certainly not gone off. But had a quick feel / look at and i'd like to replace them.
Can you advise if the car has brake wear sensors?
Where might be best to buy these from and is it a pretty easy job to DIY? I've fitted brakes to an evo before and it wasnt too hard, just concerned about the potential brake wear sensor being an issue?!

Yes there is a wear sensor.
You need to make sure you get the pads to fit the larger 340 mm disc. Not the 312 mm.
You'll need a 7 mm hex key (I think it's 7. It's an awkward size anyway) for the caliper.
The carrier is a big torx bolt which might be a pain to remove. You should also replace these bolts as they're torque to yield.
Front discs and pads will be £160 from Euro Car Parts for Pagid. Audi will charge you £299 for the whole job.

It's pretty much the same as this:

The ones that should be replaced are the 21 mm carrier bolts, I was sure they were a torx head but maybe not!
