As per the title i have an 09 Audi A4 Avant which has developed an unusual noise from the front left this only appears to happen turning left at slow speed (still happens even if i am not braking). i think the best way to describe is a creaking?
I took it to my usual mechanic who will not mind me saying is getting on a bit (hearing's on it's way out) & as such couldn't hear anything on a test & replaced pads as they were worn & he thought could have been these cause the noise.
As i am writing this request for help you can gather it was not resolved therefore if anyone on here has had a similar experience or could at least point me in the right direction.
thanks
Rick

I have a 2009 A4 Avant and I had the exact same noise from the drivers side front wheel area - creaking at very low speed, usually on full lock when turning onto my driveway.
Garage replaced the lower suspension arm at a cost of £120 all in (think that's what it is called) and noise disappeared, but only for a few weeks!
Noise is now back again and happens only at slow speeds, usually when turning.
No doubt one of the other suspension arms will now need replacing, not sure if they have 2 upper and 2 lower?

I believe they may be a bad design fault in the 2009 models.

I had the same thing on a 2004 B6 A4 Avant 1.8T, low speed creaking and also when reversing. It turned out to be a worn bush on the front sub frame. Once the bush was changed the creeking stopped.

Could it be a stone stuck somewhere around the disc area?

I had one stuck once and it sounded awful, I thought the suspension was knackered when turning the wheel at low speed.
