A4 cab roof lining coming unstiched

Can anyone advise on this please, my 2003 A4 cabriolet has an roof lining problem.
The interior lining is stitched to a plastic bar in two places where the roof folds.
It has started to unstitch in two places on the passenger side and therefore snags when opening, which will result in a tear.
Has anyone had this fault and any ideas how to fix it ?
I have been told it cannot be restitched......
Failing this anyone know of a specialist who can fix it in the North West ?
