I'm new to Audis and can't quite get my head around this S-Line lark - it seems like £2.5k for mainly a few shiny badges, when I can spec up an SE - or am I missing something here?

People might be cynical but s-line gets you bigger wheels, half leather, LED headlights (awesome!), LED rear lights, power tailgate, interior and exterior styling. Some suspension options usually.

You can't replicate the s-line kit with all the options.

Horses for courses, I personally would (and have) chosen s-line on my A6 and would do so again.

Does it add value? Not sure, I like it, but then if you want value there are cheaper cars than Audi!

Thanks Darkmatter - that's answering a lot of questions for me.

Going for an SE with loads of options to suit me.

Its worth considering the resale value aspect I would say. The S-Line will always hold a premium over an SE, but your options are unlikely to add any value.
