R8 v10...which brake pads?

My car will soon be needing new pads all round
Ordinarily I'd just got for genuine oem audi parts but they are shockingly dear and makes me wonder whether there are better, cheaper aftermarket options
On the USA forum many people seem to suggest ebc redstuff for fast road use (I don't track the car), but I've read mixed things about ebc in general with regards in particular to excessive noise and wear on discs
Gsf were selling brembo pads for £100 (front) but they are out of stock and no due date
So what to do folks?
