I have always kept an eye out on the price of R8's since I sold mine back a few years ago.

I have been looking recently to see if I can find a good deal on one and get another but it seems the prices are very high at the moment, i can only assume it's because it's the summer.

What are your thoughts on the prices through winter guys, do you foresee there being a few knocking around for a lot less than they are now? I can't really remember how the seasonal demand affects the prices on these.

Cheers.

Are you after a v8 or v10?

I bought my v10 earlier this year and prices for well speced cars in a decent colour remain firm.....I hope to break even on mine after a. Year which may sound unrealistic but is made out on the actual prices

Decent v10s are still £60k, whilst decent v8s are £45k

I'd heartily recommend the v10....best car I've owned and I've had a fair few!

I think turboman786 has got the prices spot on.
I have owned a V8 for close to two year's and would not lose a great deal of money should i decide to sell now looking at the current values.
That said i do low miles but both the V8 and V10 do seem to be holding up well price wise.
There are cheaper high mileage cars to be had but would check thing's like mag ride and clutch wear as both are quite expensive parts to replace.
I don't see prices going down drastically anytime soon as the new shape cars do not seem that popular thus far...

Prices have been rock solid for a couple of years and if anything have firmed slightly for cars in a nice colour with good specification.

They are unlikely to drop with the price of a new R8 having almost doubled since 2007.

Buy something very nice rather than very cheap and if you choose to sell you should then recoup a large percentage of your investment.

prices are going no where fast

supply has dried up massively and demand remains strong

nothing else touches them for the money
