Does anyone have a Ross Tech interface cable I could borrow please? I have ABS and traction control lights illuminated on my display, and just need to find out what is causing them.
I've bought a laptop off fleabay and a 'vagcom' cable, and downloaded the VCDS software. But it won't recognize the interface. Seems you can only use the $250 cable!

Or if someone could point me in the direction of another solution, I would be very grateful.

Many thanks
Cad

Any decent code reader should do something as basic as read dash light codes - you can get a generic one for 20 quid or a Bluetooth one which links to the torque app.

Cheap cable should work with "VCDS Lite", you might have to play about with different USB ports etc, they're a bit crappy...but they do work!

Have a genuine one you are welcome to use here - SE Wales if that's any help.

Thanks for the offer bear, that's very kind.
If the Lite version doesn't work for any reason, I may take you up on the offer.
Cheers

Ok, that didn't work today. The interface did, but no response from the control modules at all, and no fault codes.

Bear, I'll mail you offline in the morning if that's ok.

Pleasure - I might not pick it up in the morning, but will later.

We've used ours loads, and it gives reliable access.

Cheers
