Emissions problem Petrol also ?.

We are getting regular depressing headlines re v w emissions .
Has anyone heard if it is diesels only or does it include petrol engines as well ?

the emmisons, nox, and soot are very muich related to diesel only.

Modern petrols burn much cleaner and the cat converts nox into co2.

That's reassuring as I recently sold a golf mk 6 tdi and now looking at 1.4 tsi .

what would you be concerned about thout, the extra pollution. The american test is based on a 120k total life and the eu test is about 50 times less stricter than this.

I do about 5.000 miles annually but it had been on my mind to go petrol for some time based on that but with all now exposed I would hope the eventual residual value might be better than with diesel .
