Looking to put a new set of boots on my R8,current set of P zeros are getting a bit worn now and yesterday (cold and wet) the car was all over the place.
Thinking of swapping to Michelin pilot super sports which seem to be a popular choice with R8 owners and I also had them on my GTR and was very happy with them.
Trouble is,after reading through a couple of threads on R8 talk, the American owners seem to swear by them yet a couple of UK owners much preferred the P zeros.
So,can any UK owners who have any experience of these tyres point me in the right direction? I'm also thinking of going 10mm wider front and rear over the current 235/295 combo as this also seems a popular choice and is actually cheaper and gives a slightly closer rolling ratio match.

Cheers

I put new p zeros on yesterday. Very well priced at the moment. 200 quid a rear tyre from kwick for online.

go for Michy's.

P Zero's are very poor in the wet on the R8

Thanks for the input guys. I've spoken to a couple of local tyre suppliers I know/use and neither can get hold of the pilot supersports. They can get the P zeros in the correct size but can't get the rears in the correct Audi OE ftment code (R01).
They could get them in the Porsche OE code (N2) and told me their suppliers said they would be fine (which I kind of agree with) but thought this could potentially cause me problems somewhere down the road with Audi or if I came to sell the car.

So I've had a look online and ordered a set of pilot supersports from camskil. These are just listed in sizes and don't seem to have any OE fitment codes listed in the sizes I want.
I've had an email saying they have them in stock and they will be dispatched Nov 3 so with a bit of luck I might have them fitted sometime next week. I'm also going to take it in for a wheel alignment when the tyres are fitted as it does feel a little 'off' at the minute.

Cheers
