Best 'Standard' shocks?

Any recommended budget brands for replacement standard shocks for a '04 Bora 130 TDi Sport? Not looking to spend a lot but I'd like to avoid the rubbish.

I don't know specifically about the Bora, but I've used Boge Sachs shocks before. SKS car parts had the best price for them.

Don't get b4's they are too stiff and will drive you mad, they are supposed to be a standard replacement as well

Do they do Koni FSDs in Bora fitment? I rate them pretty highly as road-biased replacements for the OEM dampers on the Mk5 platform.
