2008 VW Polo 1.2 in Limp mode???

Guys,

Looking for a bit of advice/ suggestions, my sister in laws VW Polo with 80k on the clock has been going into limp mode the last couple of days. She has described a strange symptom, she says that there is a surge in power from time to time and it feels as if the car is accelerating?? I have not experienced this when driving, and there are no noises from the car. It has been on a diagnostic machine and no faults have shown up. Any thoughts?.

Throttle pedal sensor failing possibly, basically you need a fault code read, either dealer, garage or someone with VCDS.

Good call, could be something like that. When she was describing the issue to me I was a bit confused , I initially thought she was over revving etc. But then 3 days later limp mode.
