Best Tyres for a 2006 Passat

I have a 2006 B6 Passat Estate in need of 2 new front tyres (and possibly the rears).

Literally have no idea what are good on these, it's an older car but I use it a lot - around 500 miles a week of mixed driving. It is fitted with budget tyres at the moment, they were on it when I bought the car in January and have lasted well, but grip in the wet is poor.

Any advice/views from owners or people in the know?

My 2007 Passat 2.0tdi estate came with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric's and they were pretty good in the 18 months I had the car. If I hadn't sold it I would probably have stuck with them.
