TT EPC warning

Hi
My 2011 Petrol TT has just started displaying the EPC warning light along with a symbol of a car with 2 skid lines underneath it, the engine power drops off and it all resets with switching the engine off, until next time, it seems to come during acceleration.

If i buy one of the cheap OBD readers will it give info on this or is it just for engines?

Any advice on OBDs or the actual problem greatly appreciated

Not sure if the TT has a G419 lateral/yaw sensor, if that's the issue prepare to touch your toes..
