A4 and keys etc

Evening all, my dad picked up his new car earlier and one thing i noticed in the settings was to do with the keys.

There's an option that say how many keys are coded, it says there are 3 but we were only given 2 by the dealer, is the 3rd one the backup plastic key that was given to us or is there a mystery 3rd key somewhere.

Obviously don't want someone turning up at our address and driving away with the car.

Yep assuming its a B8 A4 (~2008>) then the third one will be the plastic one, not sure about B6/7 etc

Yes its a B8.

They are very commonly lost; ask the dealer to code it out for you.
