Sounds like he's milking it a bit. I bet they don't offer him dinner as compensation. smile

Agreed - sounds like the dealer have genuinely tried to make good. Unfortunately it isn't possible to make some people happy, it's almost as if they enjoy having something to moan about.

Seems to me that if this dealer employee is now on a 'final warning' he must have 'history' for misconduct. As such Dealership is more concerned about repercussions at an Industrial Tribunal if they dismissed him. As for offering free services......would anyone in their right mind go back to a Dealership that has 'ragged' their pride and joy!?

Best course of action already done by giving it to the media......I give that Dealership no more than a couple of years before Audi pull the plug with their antics, especially if other customers have complained. Or do Audi UK care? I wonder.

This is exactly the reason why I trust my local Indy......main dealers servicing my vehicles.....no chance!

Lots of companies jump from 0 to Final Warning. Seen it myself with colleagues. Maybe, they value his technical ability and don't really want to lose that over 1 misdeed. Whilst this is at 1 end of the scale, no bodies perfect.

Well they aren't likely to do it again are they! laugh And ragged at 100ish a car capable of 150ish. How much damage do you think it's caused?

Hardly! Makes him look like he wants blood from a stone. Like nothing is good enough. Particularly as he's (allegedly) trying it on for an Alloy they probably didn't damage and they did TRY to make it right.

YOU give them 2 years because of 1 incident? then assume others will have complained. Audi UK care, but they aren't going to sack a dealer off, with the Millions of pounds that generates due to 1 thing

Most indies are staffed with people that USED to work at Dealers. Only now they don't have Manufacturer Audits to pass and no "Audi UK/AN Other manufacturer" breathing down their neck. They just say "fk off mate, never come back" to any customers that get bolshy/complain too much. You reckon your local indy would offer 2 free services, repair a dent. AND give this guy an alloy?

Disclaimer. I have no connection to Teesside Audi. Just saying.

He bought it at auction. I can't imagine it'll be long before these are £5K.

There won't be many people who can afford to keep in tyres.

Difference between ragging a car about and going over the speed limit in a straight line in a very quick car briefly.

Love to know which it is? If it's straight line on a good road, although not right I don't think it's end of the world TBH.

If the other I too would be annoyed. Shows an attitude towards other people's things.

According to howmanyleft there are only 40 odd registered. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=✓&q...

And I thought my car was rare (spec wise, majority of A5s are diesel) there are 55 the same as mine registered.

Just a couple of stickers and it would make a good ice cream van.

If anyone is interested, sterling service is just near Teesside Audi, and they do a superb job on BMW, Audi, Mini and Land rover I think.
