I'm after a favor. Just got a Skoda superb but the seats are extremely uncomfortable for me. I was wondering if seats from an a8 would be more comfortable and would fit. Any a8 owners in or around the hemel/ watford area who could spare me 5 mins so I could just sit in their car?

Can bring beer/wine/cake etc in exchange for your goodwill!
Thanks gb

Hmmm... nobody then, guess tis a rare car.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good forum for A8 owners?

I doubt very much you'd get them to fit wired and in at a reasonable cost. The cars have completely different floor plans.

Thought about going to a showroom but feels to cheeky turning up with a tape measure and wasting a salesman time. Think I would be told to jog on if I let them know what I was up to.

Not sure if it would fit or not. Octavia seat runners appear to be the same fitment but the cars are obviously closer related. Open to suggestions? A6 seats maybe?

Sell the car - it'll be less hassle overall. You will be modifying the vehicle from its Type Approved state so none of the crash testing etc requirements can be sure to work as intended and I wouldn't want to be blindly plugging seat belt pre-tensioners and seat mounted airbags from one vehicle into another. There are highly likely to be issues far more significant than physically getting them to fit.

You'll have to notify your insurer, who won't cover the value of the seats, but will add it to their risk.

Seats from a higher spec Superb might be do-able, if there are any that better suit your needs?

Thanks for the advice. This looks increasingly troublesome.
Sadly (or happily) it's the highest spec you can get!

If it was bought new or is leased, perhaps the dealer can take it back if you've not had it too long and find you something else new or used that has seats more to your liking?

Its 2 years old, and was purchased from a main skoda dealer. They won't "take it back" exactly but have said they will try to help. Can't help but I think I will be heavily out of pocket if I have to part company with it!
