lights on at unlock

wierd one on my 2013 A1 SLine 185 DSG

Unlock car in the dark -- front lights should come on (along with interior lights?). They used to, they dont now first thing in the morning.

Yes, its correctly set in the menus.

Drive 10 miles to office, lock car. Wait 30 seconds, unlock car, front lights come on correctly.

Could it be indication of weak battery? And the car is not turning lights on after overnight stop to ensure car will start? But its ok after a 10 mile run?
