Late 2015 B8.5 S4 : Just popped off the LH dash panel, expecting this:

Instead, I see this!

I know the fuse should be "A5", but...???

Side issue. Handbook says I can 'dispose of' the purple bits, but the RH one seems impossible to remove at the top, as it's behind the bracket.

Are you trying to turn it off? Just leave it in comfort mode, surely?

Already done - Is it permanently off in 'comfort' mode , or just 'quieter'?

Have been told that OFF is somewhere between Comfort and Dynamic.

You could find someone local to turn it down to 0 with VCDS?

30 second job.

The purple bits are a little tricky when hidden by the bracket.
Apparently the fuse holder can be released and dropped down to allow the pink/purple bits to be clipped off, but I couldn't figure it out when installing my dashcam and speed detector.

I just unclipped from the bottom and twisted it off. Simple.

I have no idea why they're on there, its not like the fuses are going to fall out!

How does that work? Is it doing active noise cancellation in Comfort mode?

Did you figure out which fuses were which, though? The owenr's guide diagrams are all bass-ackwards.

I don't think I have sound activator on my car, but fuse's wise I just cross referenced the handbook book with the diagram inside of the fuse box cover.
Also if you look at the handbook, the fuses are in tables under the different colours of the holders. So you might have Brown(yellow) and Black holders. Looking at the image above, under the pink covers, that is what I can see.
Then just double check the position and fuse amp amount to cross check.

Problem solved: The handbook's pictures and fuse locations are all for LHD cars. For RHD cars, everything's basically a mirror-image.

The RH dash panel has three rows of fuses like the diagram, and the color coding verified which was which.
