3.0 TFSI engine in the C7 A6 and D4 A8...

After having a couple of C6 S6's, I'm looking at getting back into the Audi fold. Budget would be £16-£18k which seems to get me into either a C7 A6 or D4 A8 with the above engine.

I presume it's the same supercharged 3.0 V6 engine as can be found in the B8 S4 and therefore is relatively easy to tune.

Anyone have any experiences of them or know of anything to look out for?

The most challenging part is going to be finding an A6 with that engine. Very rare apparently.
Same engine as the S4/S5 but running a lower state of tune from what I've read in the past.

MRC have carried out the same stuff they do to the S4 on a customers A6 and it made 450hp. They've also pushed the S4 engine out to 515hp which they think would be do-able on the A6 with a few extra parts.

There are a few saloons around; for some reason Audi had a lot of demos that are good value used as they were very well specified. Avants are hard to find but they do pop up.
