Any tips on changing the diesel filter on a 2006 A8 4.2TD D3?

I've not got access to any diags to prime the pump, what techniques or tips can I use to prime the system after changing the filter?

I'd have it done during a service but it's £200 just to change the diesel and air filters yikes
