65 plate touraeg smoking on start up by passenger door?

Went for a test drive today in an r line. Had a cold start and noticed white smoke with a blueish tinge coming out from under the passenger side front door. It went away after a couple
Of minutes. Still bought the car as its ex demo and presume they will give it once over. Drove fantastically. Better than the cayenne 262 I tested.

Any advice as to whether this is normal would be great.

Is it an independent cabin heater? These quickly produce heat to warm the cabin before the engine gets up to temperature. What you saw would have been the exhaust.

Yes as above. I had a hi spec Ford Galaxy years ago with a separate diesel for the rear cabin. It always smoked from under the car. A policeman once followed me in to a petrol station to check my car wasn't on fire!

Thanks guys. Yes this one has the parking heater so would explain it.
