New Beetle Hood Scuff Repair
Discussion
Hello all,
My wife is considering buying a 2005 convertible 1.6 beetle, low miles 3k. The car is in great condition however there are a couple of scuff marks on the hood - not really tears. Does anybody know how we could repair them? I don't think that the water is getting in and assume that we would need to treat it from the outside as there is a second skin inside which would prevent a patch being placed underneath.
Is there a canvas resin sealant or something we could use? I have looked on the web but not really found what I think we would need. It's not putting her off, but I would like to know I can fix it for her.
Thanks

I've never found a solution to this. If it's very light fluffing you can tidy it slightly by gently running a razor or bobble gun over it.
Then using a hood treatment kit (I like Renovo) will take your eye off it.
I've never found any method (good or otherwise) of fixing the fabric, however
