VW fault codes
Discussion
My car's (Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra-R) check engine light just came on so I used the info from here - http://www.audiworld.com/tech/int6.shtml - to read the fault codes off the heater/air-con screen. It showed faults 5.1, 15.3 and 50.3.
5.1 is related to the outside temperature sensor. That goes a bit wonky and shows -50C if I drive through a big puddle, but it's not a big deal and as far as I'm aware shouldn't trigger up the check engine light.
15.3 is Air Flow Flap Motor Potentiometer, sporadic open, meaning, I think, the flap which directs ventilation air up at the windscreen or down to the feet. It seems to work fine and again even if it didn't I can't see any reason why this should trigger the check engine light.
I can't find any reference to fault 50.3
Does anyone here know what fault 50.3 could be?

Only thing I can find is P1503 which is loss of signal from alternator
A while ago I got a bluetooth OBDII thingy, which hooks up to a smartphone and will tell you exactly what the errors mean. You can also clear them to see if they come back.
Used it in a number of cars to detect faults, clear them and then fix them if they come back, all for about £5, money well spent.
