Seriously considering one of these as my next car, an upgrade from my ST220 estate. They Seem cracking value at a year old, having lost nearly £10k in some cases, with very few miles on the clock!

Firstly, anyone with one that could tell me the diagonal length of the boot that would be fantastic!

I definately want the 19inch wheels as they look fantastic - if they have the 19s does that means that it has the performance pack? (bigger brakes too - what else is included in this?)

Are they all leather? Do they have air con, heated seats, cruise control as standard? Xenons?

Any options that really should be ticked?

Anything in particular I need to look for when buying? What are SEAT like to deal with in general?

ETA do they all have the trick LSD?

No the wheels can be added as an option but they come as part of the pack with brakes if the option is selected

Leather again is optio, aircon is standard, heated seats no, cruise i am not sure and no LED headlights standard

They are pretty well specced i think so depends if you consider them as such

I think it is dealer specific in terms of what they are like, i'd say average on the whole though.

I've heard of issues with the touchscreen on radio thing so check this works, other than this i think they are rather new to find if they have any common faults

As for LSD i think they have a proper one, it is the same as the performance pack on the golf gti and not sure what this is

Cupra 280/290 comes with 19" wheels as standard only the "Cupra" which is 265 comes with 18" standard but the 265 wasn't much of a seller in the UK, you can get the 19" multispoke wheels as well as an option. you wont find a performance pack car without the multispokes though.

Heated seat's are an option and can be fitted to leather and none leather cars, the bucket seats are also an option.

The diff is mechanical but electronically controlled, I have turned "race" setting on mine which is hidden away in the ECU.

All Cupra's come with LED headlights.

It's surprisingly how little interest there is on here for the Leon Cupra. Any thread on a Golf R attracts pages and pages of comments, but the Cupra is lucky to get a few comments, despite the car getting great write ups in the press and is available at a healthy discount over the Golf. Clearly badge snobbery is alive and well on PH.

Anyway I digress, I don't own a Cupra but a regular Leon hatch. It's been excellent for an everyday car, and the one occasion it had a fault Seat assist were fantastic, provided a courtesy car quickly and diagnosed the problem and fixed it with minimal hassle. Much much better than my experience with Audi previously. The dealers are hit and miss, some very good but some were appalling when looking.

Personally I like the Cupra ST in red or monsoon grey, very thorough review on YouTube by autogefuhl

I actually prefer the looks of the cupra myself over the golf r, plus less common as well i'd love to have a sub 8 orange pack edition as i made the mistake of reading evo's reviews on it for track car and car of the year

Great looking cars far better than the golf. Only problem is due to deprecation the running costs will be huge. Local seat dealer has had an ex demo for 6 weeks and dropped the price 1k so far to 22k new price 34k. If they can't sell it having lost 12k in 6 months id hate to think what it will be worth in 2 years. Did consider it but probably cheaper to buy something more expensive (s4 avant) and older and suffer less depreciation for an all round better car.

No sensible person would pay full list price with the massive discounts available, you can buy a brand new one from a broker for £24k

It's almost exactly the same, except matt plastic instead of shiny plastic. Preferred the Leon, bought the Leon. FR 1.4 EcoTsi DSG. Lovely car.

I'm trying to keep my mk1 leon going until i can afford to buy a house, then I am going to look for a mk3 cupra sub8 orange if I can but i'd be happy with a cupra if not as just appeals to me more than the golf
