Hi all
Does anyone have a handle on REAL average mpg for latest series RS6 Avant, Tiptronic. Also how do general running costs and reliability stack up. Are the owners happy ??
Thanks for help in advance.

My real time average so far after 5000m is 17.9mpg

On a run at 75mph cruise, it is possible to average mid to high 20's but around town, nipping to the supermarket etc, I would say around 15-16mpg is a fairly accurate representation.

You would have to be driving like a saint off boost to get a real time average above 20mpg over the long term. You don't exactly buy an RS6 to pootle around in.

I have only had the car 7 months now, so far, so good, no issues at all, tyres have about 6mm left in them, so probably good for another 8-10k miles.

Thanks for the info people. Will see what my brother achieves when he picks his brand new one up on Saturday !!!
I totally agree about driving style, NOT FOR ECONOMY either in purchase nor "poodling". I have Merc C220 d estate for that, and a Aston Martin V12 Vantage S for the good stuff. That only averages 15mpg, but what a way to enjoy those 15 miles!!

My C7 will give between 25-27 mpg on a long motorway run, thats sitting around the speed limit or a little higher (85). running around it will be high teens to low 20's.
the trip computer is showing 23.2mpg for the last 4000miles.
tank range is 270-300 running locally and 300-340 on runs.

So far the car has done 39000 miles and I've done 25000 of them.I'm just about to take he to Litchfields, just to see what 650BHP is like:-)

7000 miles average since new 22mpg. Around town / short journey = 16-18, on motorway at good speed 25mpg. Best ever 29mpg (lots of motorway road works). I push on, but not that hard - you don't need to in a RS6 wink

Hi guys
Many thanks. Seems I now have a handle on what to expect. All seem very happy with their "toy" and enjoy the driving experience. Wonderful, and as it should be !!!
