What's that noise?

Not a problem but interested. On my 2007 S6 when I open the drivers door there is a short noise which sounds very much like an electric motor actuating. My 2008 A6 didn't do it.

Anyone know what it is? Can't work it out.

My B8 A4 and a5 use to do this. I believe its the fuel pump priming itself

Yeah that's what it will be, I've noticed it on a few VAG cars

When you turn the ignition on something runs which sounds like the fuel pump.

Unless it does it twice? Pump must be fooking huge on the V10 so might need a double tap :-)

Yeah likely to be fuel pump as think this is pretty common for them to work this way, mine does another noise when turning ignition too but doubt it is a second pupm on a 1.9tdi compared to a v10 lol
