Hi Peoples.
I wonder if anyone has any advice or information. My Audi TT (2015) has DAB radio as well as FM.
I could count the times Ive managed to get it to work on one hand... Sometimes.. I can drive for 35 mins (and several miles heading from SURREY towards LONDON).. and keep trying to select a station and the entire list is constantly unavailable...

The car has been in to garage.. and they checked it.. and it worked (so their garage must be near a mast or something!!!)
Then.. yesterday.. it worked... A MIRACLE... I drove home with it working.. parked up.. still working.. turned it off.. got in this morning... and not working.

Why is it.. I can be listening to it yesterday parked in my driveway (which has NEVER happened before) and then today again nothing.

Does it stream and remember the data??? Is the signal hard to find.. but when it locks on it stays on??

Its driving me a bit mental cos its obviously meant to work and bloody doesn't!

(PS the weird thing is... I had another AUDI as a courtesy car.. and the DAB in that DID work when I drove around.. and my TT doesn't... why would that be??)

Just rubbish!!

Sounds like you have proved it is faulty by the fact the other car worked fine. I drive across Surrey on the M25 and apart from a couple of deadspots on the whole DAB works.

If you get a portable DAB radio and try it on your drive and it shows a good signal level then that would also indicate your car is faulty.

Only other suggestion is to try Audi and see if there are any software updates for the MMI and DAB module as these are released regularly with the navigation updates.

Got a 6 month old TTS. Never had a problem with the DAB radio and live in the same area. Most of my driving is a commute from north of Woking to either Epsom or Hanger Lane. Never once had the station even drop on these journeys although my listening is limited to 2-3 stations.

Only time I've had a station drop was with Kisstory (others were fine) around High Wycombe where some stations do that on FM.

Seems you have a duff unit.

thanks both. Interestingly the DAB worked today... all stations.. so I'm going to keep a track and try it every journey now.. as I dont believe it should be OK on some days and not on others when I am driving the exact same route to work... Ive also reported a couple of other issues with the MMI unit - the soundtrack pauses for 2-3 seconds sometimes when playing...
Not sure if this is related to the USB socket or what yet... but I know there is something wrong with it and its so frustrating when they tell me its all FINE!!!

Do you have a phone charger(usb socket pluged in to the lighter socket) dash camera these may cause interference

My dab aerial on my A1 was the heated rear screen a dealer sticker could affect the reception according to the handbook

I've got a Golf with a DAB so I'll assume the electronics and receivers are the same.

It works in and around Surrey and London. Going from Guildford - Dorking - Gatwick - Cheam - Epsom - Sutton - Leatherhead and all round Box Hill and everywhere in between. Some stations are a bit fussy, I sometimes enjoy listening to one that I can't get at home but as soon as I pull out of my driveway it's there, get to the end of the road and it cuts out again. Other stations that are bigger like BBC's and KISS all work fine all the time.

If the other car worked fine then it's probably your car thats the problem, or maybe you're in a bit of a random dead spot or something.
