I've got the V8 one myself. The V6 does seem to tune much better but is possibly prone to more problems, particularly the S-Tronic box.
The B8 S4 is basically the same car mechanically, long running thread here worth a look - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Beware the engines changed mid 2014 to the CREC engine which uses a different ECU to the original V6T which as of yet hasnt been cracked so you wont be able to remap it yet. There are a couple of companies doing plug in modules though, ABT and DTUK that i know of. Re the post anove manuals havent been available since the facelift.

2011 S-tronic boxes seem much better than earlier ones - they changed the filter design to make it a cartridge job that gets swapped at gearbox oil change.
Our Sportback is a 2011 and no issues with the box at all. Get the oil/filter change done a little earlier than recommended, for added peace of mind.
Spec varies massively so download the brochure off the Audi site and work out what matters to you and be prepared for all dealers being useless about spec!

Yeah they can be quite basic with things like Sat Nav and Cruise control not being standard, but luckily most examples have a nice sprinkling of options. KungFuPanda said:
I've got a 2011 A8 with the same engine. In mine, it's pretty quiet until you give it some revs. Given the age, warranty is no worry for me so I took it to DMS for a remap. It's currently making circa 425bhp. I now laugh everytime I put my foot down.
What sort of price are DMS for remap ?KungFuPanda said:
£750. Not a lot of the tuners would touch a D4 A8 as the ECU's haven't been cracked yet. You might get a better price for remapping the S5 if more tuners offer a map for that vehicle.
I had my D4 4.2 mapped , I,m part exchanging that for a S5/S6 or a S8 not 100% sure yet.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
