Potential new RS7 owner
Discussion
Hi all,
I am about to pull the trigger on a 2014 plate RS7, and I was keen to consult the Audi experts here as to whether there is anything to look out for before I sign on the dotted line!
Currently in a Panamera V6 diesel after a brief dalliance with a 991 911 Turbo last summer. Kind of hoping the RS7 combines the best of both - size and road presence of the Pan (always liked a big car), epic performance of the 911. With the added bonus of a fantastic soundtrack, the one I looked at has the sports exhaust which sounds brilliant. Only thing I could compare it to noise wise is a Maserati GTS having had one in the past, but the Audi noise is a bit more meaningful given it matches the performance, which cant quite be said on the Mas.
Any must have options or anything else I ought to be looking out for before finalising the purchase? Did briefly contemplating trying an M6 by way of comparison but I don't think the soundtrack would be comparable.....
Cheers!

Did mean to reply to this before now.
I've had mine for about a year now and the only things that have gone wrong are a couple of very annoying rattles, one the in center arm rest and the other in the boot strut.
Apart from that is has been faultless, quick, refined and very nice to drive. I commute in mine (about 60 miles a day) and done a couple of 500 mile road trips. Brilliant car.
Happy to answer any questions.
In terms of options I have pretty much everything ticked (just the way the dealer optioned it here, a but strange the car market in the UAE), the blind spot assist is great, the lane assist thing is a waste of time.
B&O stereo is great, as is sports exhaust and I love the Alacantara headlining.

Hi chaps,
Sorry, I haven't visited this thread since its creation which kind of defeats the object I know.
I am one week in and its a great bit of kit. I am surprised by how quiet and comfortable it can be in comfort, dynamic is like driving a totally different car. Great having both options for appropriate use as traffic determines!
It doesn't have anything quite as fancy as the lane departure etc but reverse cam, park assist, Bose, sports exhaust, advanced key and for some reason the speed limiter increased to 174. Not massively useful for driving into Manchester each day but hey ho.
Interior wise it doesn't feel quite as high end as the Pan, but my Pan had the extended leather across the dash which made a huge difference. Having said this the seats are nicer (and more comfy) in the Audi and the lighting on the interior buttons etc are really nice. It has the piano black inlays too which give it a high end feel, so there isn't a huge amount in it......
All in all a total steal at sub £50k, I think the RS7's and M6's are the most amount of car per £ you can get at present!
Cheers
