Audi A6 (57 plate) Passenger door wont unlock

Help please.
My wife has a 57 plate Audi A6. She has recently noticed that the passenger side front door will not unlock on the key 'blip' press and has to be manually opened from inside the car.
any ideas?
The car is booked into Audi Swindon, but i am worried that rather than fault find, they will just replace modules at my expense, until the issue is resolved.
