Since there has been good deals for a while on these cars, I figure there must be quite a few people who have ordered.

Sportback S-tronic in Tango red for me, black nappa and no options other than badge delete.

It is meant to start being built on the 26th September.

Will be my first DSG car, I test drove a Golf R and thought the gearbox was just a little slow on the downshifts, so hoping the new box in the Audi fixes this!

So what have you gone for and when is it coming?

I started a thread about a year ago about one of these. Well, in fairness I was looking at an 8P Rs3 vs 8P S3. On advice of others it was to look at an 8V S3 over the older RS3.

Ordered one in September last year, delivery took about 3 months IIRC. The DSG box is good but can still be a little slow at times on the downshift - sorry but IMO it's not fixed. Having said that, I can certainly live with that as most of the time it's fine, daily driving in manual is no problem with the odd pregnant pause while it decides when to shift. Sport auto mode seems a bit better down shifting but then I hardly ever use that as it runs the revs too high for daily driving.

Sepang Blue, DSG, LED lights, upgraded sound system and black styling pack.

Nice little cars, pretty quick, comfortable, no real niggles with it (yet!).

Is yours 6 speed or the newer 7 speed gearbox?

It's a lease, so I don't fancy paying £16 for such outlandish frippery as rear parking sensors!

As for needing a 7 speed on a 4 pot, considering it hopefully solves the issues of the missing downshifts, and offers more performance and better economy as a side affect seems to sit well with me.
