A6 C6 "door blades"

This may seem like an obvious question but, can you just replace the rubber seal strips that are attached to the bottom of the "door blades"?
One main dealer says I need to buy the whole blade, unpainted, at £93 another says the strip is self adhesive and costs £3.60!
Any advise appreciated.
