tube diameter? - oil extraction pump

I got a pump but the tube supplied is too wide for the little Polo engine.

What sort of size tube should I get?
The one supplied is 8MM outer.

I bought a Pela extractor some years ago and it came with 2 tubes. The thinner of the two fitted down the dipstick no problem. I think it was 6mm id, can't remember.

I would drain via the sump personally. Those extractors leave too much at the bottom for my liking.
