Android Auto or Mirrorlink VW

[rst99]

I've just taken delivery of a 2016 Tiguan. The infotainment system has the ability to connect to a smartphone via Android Auto or Mirrorlink (we have android phones).

What is considered the better of these 2 options?

Looking for maps, phone and music connectivity.

I would agree that Android auto is a good thing to use. I think it depends on what phone you have in terms of it working...

I had an HTC One M8, it was atrocious when I used it with Android auto. But with my recently acquired Galaxy S7 it works great.

I've just used it on a 150 mile trip with Google maps. Worked really well.
