R8 headlight bulb out....is it just a bulb or whole unit?

Headlight on my 09 R8 v10 failed today....the led bit is fine but the main bulb is gone

Can anyone assist with whether this is just a case of fitting a new bulb or does it need something else...

If the bulb looks discoloured (pinkish) then it likely to be that. If it isn't, then probably the ballast unit.

A similar thing happened to a friends car a few mo the ago.

£2000 for a replacement sealed unit I think.
