2.0 tdi mk5 golf not getting gear :(

Hi guys wondering if anyone could help... basically. .
I just Baught a 05 2.0 gttdi golf and done a s
t load of work
2× cv joints
2× ball joints
2× drop links
Turbo pipe
Gear selector
Clutch - pressure plate - thrust bearing
Master cylinder but sometimes I still can't get gears... When it works it works perfectly but when it don't I can't get it into gear.. so annoying! !
Anyone have any ideas cuz I'm out and near out of money lol (so much for a cheap car ) cheers!
