A6 ECU / Remap

Ordered a new A6 ultra black edition 2.0l as a company car. Was having a look at these ecu map box things which claim to give a decent boost in Bhp. Anyone have any feedback or advice on them?

Box is a cheap option that i had on other 2.0tdi A6's, gave noticeable performance increase and more mpg. Easy to remove for service as well.

Last 2015 2.0tdi that had a full engine/gearbox remap after from visu to try to lessen the lag when setting off. This was more effective than the box but didn't really cure the problem with the laggy auto.

Whatever you do, dont get an auto....had mine for abt 6 months and sold it - terrible 7 speed auto box.

Had 3 manuals prior to the auto and all excellent.

Have a bi-tdi now and not sure what to do with it as not overly impressed with it tbh. Will probably put another box on it as so easy to remove if needs be.

Went for the S-Tronic. I do 1k miles a week and have a manual c200 at the minute and hate it.
