You hardly read much about these, on here or otherwise.

I picked a new one up yesterday and so far (despite only 30 mins of driving), it's just a bundle of fun. The car is a bit of a joke, but not in a bad way.

Any other RSQ3 owners (past or present) on here?

I think one reason they didn't get that much press was that they introduced it with the 2.5 engine but with less power than its TT RS and RS3 brethren which I never understood really as Q3 wouldn't really be nicking sales from the other two anyway. I think they are a great looking car but have never driven one.

Always thought the same. Sure its just a remap away from 400 bhp. Needs the 2 oval exhausts as well, bugs me only having 1. Apart from that I quite like them.

Her in doors keeps going on about wanting one. To me, they are a bit of a strange proposition for a RS car, performance wise they are similar to a S3 but the engine noise, I presume, would be nicer!

That's the thing I don't get about them, 13k more than an S3 for a similar sized car with 13% ish more power. The RS3 was cheaper and more powerful with the same engine. When they first came out they only had 305bhp or something which would be a very hard sell I reckon. But yes will sound loads better than the S3 (which doesn't sound bad). According to the Audi configurator they aren't open for orders anymore which means they may be getting the new 400bhp engine which would be far more appealing.

It disappeared from the configurator around a couple of months ago. I understand that it's effectively been discontinued, so as to keep the numbers limited. I'm not sure they'd do a 400bhp version, as they did bring out a 367bph "performance" version earlier this year.

The 340bph is enough of a beast anyway. It's a bundle of fun - only downside is not so great turning circle and difficult to park in London residents' bays.

I think it has had a facelift recently though hasn't it? (The Q3 not RS Q3). The performance version was the same engine as the RS3 was, but they have upped it to 400hp for the TT RS and the next RS3. That's all I was thinking.

I bought one for my Mrs in November last year - from day one it had brakes that squealed.....to be told it was a characteristic of an RS model. It then had a handbrake module fault that stayed live and drained the battery completely - keeping in mind this was now January of this year we were told that it would be mid to late February if we were lucky for a fix to be found from factory........ We then got that one swapped after weeks of fighting with the dealer and Audi UK for another one to find it too had squealing brakes. Gave up in the end and traded in for a 4 series Gran Coupe.....shame really as apart from (all that) my wife really liked the car!

Family member has one, pre-facelift model. Nice engine, great torque, great brakes.
Interior feels and infotainment feels very old and antiquated, DSG Transmission is a bit jerky in auto and delayed when upshifting with paddles. That delay could be compensated by the driver but it struck me as very unpleasant.
Other than that a good car, although I cannot fathom why one would buy it over a Macan, except perhaps to debadge it and "stay under the radar" of those not in the know.

I believe these cars can be safely remapped to 420+ bhp, could be a fun out-of-warranty used purchase for those who are into that sort of thing.
