Audi TT for the summer?
Discussion
Good morning everyone
Last year I stepped into an SLK200 for the first time - bought from a main stealer in december - who buys soft tops in december - bargain!
I haven't lost any money on it and its kind of fun but just isnt for me/us. Mrs JJ drives an evoke and just doesnt get on with the SLK but does rather like the TT. The TT would be my day drive - which translates into a short commute to the station twice per week and two 150 mile round trips per week. We don't use the convertible on the SLK as much as we thought.
The plan is to hold the 35,000 mile slk until the weather turns into UK 'hopeful summer spec' in or around april / may then look for a hardtop TT at around the £14k mark
I want to hear your views on the master plan.
I think the TT will be
2.0l
Petrol
Manual
I base this on just reading around - there seems to be some nasty DSG stories, and whilst the quattro sounds a good idea Id hate to be stuck with expensive problems in a year or two - the SLK has (touchwood) been nothing but 100% reliable
Over to you -- is the plan a reasonable one?
