B7 RS4 decoke advice please
Discussion
Hi guys,
It's been a while since posting on here but I'm pleased to announce the recent purchase of a bucket list car, the B7 RS4 avant. My dad had one new and ever since then I knew I wanted one and it hasn't disappointed!
So I've read that because of the direct injection the valves don't get cleaned as much and so carbon build ups can occur? While this car has been very anally looked after by its previous owner I wondered if it's worth getting it done anyway? The car has done 60,000 miles. If you think it's worth a punt could you recommend anyone in the Derbyshire area?
Many thanks,

If it's running fine, I wouldn't bother.
There's a "test" you can run in 3rd gear where it's meant to take an approximate amount of time to get from one rpm to another...RS246.com has the details somewhere. If it's in the range, it will be making the right power...
