2017 S4 - Test Drive

I'm going to be ordering a new car in the next week or 2. I really fancied the S4 and enjoyed the test drive very much, it was fast, handled well and I liked the sound.

The big but for me was the interior. Why on earth did Audi not put a cover on the cup holder?? Yes I know it sounds daft but that just looks all wrong to me.

I understand your point completely. It annoys me that the cup holders annoy me so much.

I really like the S series A4/A5 but I don't think they have made a good job of the nav screen as it looks stuck on as an afterthought. The C Class is as bad mind. I much prefer the screen that can be retracted on the A3, A6, A8 or fully built into the dash like on the XE/XF.

Did the car feel faster than the old ones? Autocar took the S5 Coupe to 100 mph in 11.6s which is really quick.

I agree the screen looks awful and the rest of the dashboard isn't great.

Did I mention that there was no cover for the cup holder?

The auto gear selector is a right pita too. I had a 2.0tdi on hire last year in Italy (not by choice!) and it was just the worst piece of functional design I think I've ever seen in a car.
