SQ5 - Adblue or not??
Discussion
Hi
Have been looking at replacing my A4 with a SQ5, but heard horror stories about Adblue consumption and cars failing to start.
I have read somewhere that SQ5 doesn't use Adblue, but the ones I have looked at all had it.
Did I read wrong, or has the engine changed?? If so, when did it changed?
Thanks in advance

My A6 BiTDI has the same 313 bhp engine as the SQ5, and there is no AdBlue fill. This changed with the "upgrade" to the facelift A6 320 bhp engine, and I always thought that the SQ5 was the same, non AdBlue engine. Not very helpful, but strange if they made a difference between the two models.
Not the same car but had Ad-Blue on our recent Q7 and it wasn't ever that much of a bother.
It gave 1,500 miles warning that it was running out and had to fill it up every 8,000 miles or so.
The local BP garage has an Ad-Blue pump, the nozzle for filling was next to the diesel fuel cap - took two minutes at 60p a litre to fill it up.
I have heard some stories about the first cars to use it not being anywhere as well integrated, having to fill up through a nozzle in the boot for example - so check where the filler is first.
Cheers,
Phil
