S5 mpg's

Hi all

What kind of mpg are people seeing from their new S5?

I have a sportback on order, and whilst I'm not expecting it to be as efficient as the current 2L diesel I have, I was hoping it would be hitting around 30 mpg - most of my commute is motorway miles.

Trip to Gatwick round the M25

I did smooth 30 minute mixed road trip at the weekend with a couple of bursts and a crawl round a car park at the end. It showed 27mpg after that.

Long term average for 120 miles is 19mpg. I'm expecting it to improve...

No idea on the 5 but it has to better than a RS6 and over 20,000 miles I have averaged 23mpg in my 6. I can get 30 on motorway at sensible (ish) speeds.

I'm on long term average of 28.2 mpg for 2000 miles

Are these MPGs mainly from motorway miles or town centre driving?

It's worth manually checking the mpg too, by filling up, then doing a few miles and checking the fuel amount used via mileage.
I've found the Audi DIS always reads on the "optimistic" side by around as much as 10%

Mine is mixed driving. You will be in teens in town.
