I have recently purchased a Mkv Golf pirelli which has been modified to circa 300bhp.

When accelerating hard from stand still it is quite skittish. I know I should probably put it back to standard due to it being quite a rare car - and probably will do at a later date.

In the mean time, I have been advised that adding an anti lift kit and dog bone bushes will help. Which products would be most suitable. The car is a daily for both the wife and myself, so don't want to compromise the firmness of the ride or the lack of noise in the cabin, if it can be helped.

All advice would be welcome. Cheers.

Whiteline off a WALK kit which is Whiteline anti-lift kit. Superpro offer one as well, they call theirs SALK.

Dogbone mount works well but also makes the car vibrate a little, especially in reverse.

You can either go the full hog like I did on my MK2 Leon Cupra R and MK2 Leon FR TDI (That vibrated like a bus) and fit a full set of engine mounts or just simply an insert into the mount.

Places like Awesome GTI sell the kits or inserts. Inserts are about £50.

I will have a look. I have also seen the anti lift kit at awesome Gti so will probably get them together.

That should help with the skittishness that I get when accelerating. Im so used to the M3 that I have forgotten how to drive a FWD. It has been fun so far, but I find i need to focus a little more due to the power going through the front wheels.

Thanks for your help, although i am sure i am going to have loads of questions over time lol
