D2 A8 - potential buy this weekend. What to look for?

Afternoon all,

Tomorrow I'm going to see a 2.8 Quattro Sport Audi A8, the D2 generation (my personal favourite). It's got the heated Recaro interior, sunroof, Bose audio, factory 20" wheels, and has done just over 100k miles.

I've been told a couple of things I should keep an eye out for but I just wondered if anyone has any experience of these, and can perhaps add to my list or tell me something I didn't consider?

- Run through all gears (5 speed tip) to make sure everything is smooth
- Botangs hole - the name given to a drainage hole under the wings, which can get clogged with stuff and cause flooding
- Water in footwells, passenger side front especially
- Any squeaks and crunches - as these cars are well built there should be minimal unexplained noises

Being aluminium bodied I'm not expecting rust, but this is the first saloon I'll have owned and I just want to go in with my eyes open!
