might have chance of a one owner from new fsh car with 110k on clock. cambelt done at about 90k, has actually been changed twice already as owner fastidious. oil change every 6k with fully synth. leather interior, perfect nick really.

tempted to run it a couple of years as a daily, anything obvious that goes wrong on these please? its been replaced by a new car so no known issues in terms of reason for sale.

worth a punt?

Lower engine mount, some suspension bushes, front wheelarch rust. Interior plastics will be a bit shiny\peeling by now.

At 13 years old it's buy on condition, there's nothing wildly out of line when compared to other similar things of that age, but expect it to need some moving parts replaced.

However - the Bora is the ginger stepchild of the range, especially against the mechanically-identical Golf Mk4. Values and saleability are lower than equivalent Golfs, so don't pay too much. Good for you now, but expect it to be fairly tough to sell on when you're done with it.

Pretty bomb proof engine, the 130 bhp version is the pick of the bunch but i think they are all very good longevity wise.
Make sure its had the correct pd engine oil used, the owner should know this.

I'm thinking shed sort of money and run it into the ground for a few years as a daily hack. WBAC gave it 900 quid value as does CAP based on clean or good condition. No rush apparent. Anyone know what the road tax is?

We had 2 in the family that went over 200k on the original turbos etc and no real issues.

Mines on 180k, no real issues. VW replaced the front wings under warranty at 11yrs old due to a known issue (Google) look for rust there, otherwise its just servicing, discs and pads, couple of wheel bearings (buy new hubs its really not worth the effort to replace the bearing) hand brake mech on rear calipers can seize, I'm still on original suspension except for a ball joint and track rod ends which had seized and the cat converter was replaced about 120k miles.

Think that's it. Mines a highline, it continues to be a great little car
