Since I need to give the company car back I needed to get a new daily. I've had a VRS in the past (before the company car) and couldn't help but go back.

2016 TDI Vrs 4x4 with black pack plus.

I did look at the face lift model but the delivery times are mid November which was too long for me unfortunately.

I do like VRS's but there are some comments about cabin noise - how would you say it is when on motorways etc?

It's not bad. A few rattles and squeaks but no more than my 2015 A3

Ahh yeah fair enough, I had two of the petrol estate versions of these when the kids were younger, the early 1.8t and then the 2.0t, both great all rounders for family use, hope you enjoy it anyway....if MPG scares you I probably should'nt share these from two of my current cars....yikes

Such a shame Skoda didn't do the 4x4 vrs with the petrol engine, must use the scout running gear, which also doesn't come with petrol power either.
VAG should be kicking themselves with the current backlash to diesel.

Not noticed a lot of road noise in my VRS, though I believe a lot of the issues revolved around the non VRS models without IRS.

Get a fair bit of wind noise past 80mph (on private roads) which I think is caused by the large wing mirrors.

Good solid car, very comfortable, and excellent value for money. Add in a few choice mods (Eibach Pro-Kit springs and a remap) and you've got a good all rounder.

My 2016 VRS 230 now has 290bhp so it's a fair bit quicker than standard, and thankfully has the proper LSD to keep it in check smile
