Advice please - Identifying a 2007 TDI GT? Sport?

Hi

I have been looking at 2007/8 Golf GT TDI and cant work out which are the 140 or 168 cars and the relevance of the black grill & bumper central section (does that mean it is a Sport?)

I think I'd want the DSG 168, but any advice would be appreciated!

Simplest way is that GT Sport TDI 170 BHP has twin exhaust whilst the 140 has a single.

Thanks both - What is the relevance of the black surround to the grill that extends down over the bumper?

They added the black surround for the 2008 Model Year, so mid-07 production onwards. At the same time the 'GT' trim was rebranded 'GT Sport' and gained one or two other extras. The basic 'Sport' trim was dropped.

As mentioned you can tell the 170PS engine apart by the visible rear twin tailpipes.
